Welcome Drinks in Nicolini Lounge
The Nicolini Lounge was originally the Study and Library.
My guests will enjoy their welcome drinks in Craig y Nos Castle's Nicolini Lounge before moving through to our Wedding Breakfast in the Conservatory.
At night, the Nicolini Lounge allows my guests to get away from the bar and noise of the disco in the main function room - to enjoy a quiet chat, catching up with friends and relatives.
A door leads to the breakfast room which features an original Edwardian fireplace with illustrations of Sir Walter Scott’s novels.
My Welcome Drinks Designs
I can arrange the glasses into hearts and words (if I've enough guests and glasses to make up the letters!) or simply to spell out L O V E. I could really go to town with decorative themed welcome drinks.
Locations for Welcome Drinks
The most popular area for serving Welcome Drinks is the Nicolini Lounge. I might hire a small gazebo for the flat lawned walled garden area beside the theatre. I might serve my welcome drinks outside the theatre or in the courtyard. Welcome drinks are always offered after the Ceremony, so having my welcome drinks in the courtyard or in the lounge means all my guests are centrally located close to where most of my after-ceremony wedding photographs are taken.
Welcome Drinks inside or Outside?
I can choose welcome drinks outside the theatre so my guests can collect their welcome drinks as they leave the wedding ceremony. Or inside in the Nicolini Lounge if the weather is wet or if its cold outside.
One or Two glasses per guest
Welcome Drinks are charged at £5.00 each guest under the Special Wedding Packages. If I have jugs of Juice and Pimms, this allows two glasses per guest as they can go back for refills. More exotic cocktails may be limited to one glass per guest.
